Pricing your platform in the currency your buyers use

RamTV can price your platform in more than one currency at once, and supports both traditional money and crypto. Manage this at Setting → General → Currencies (also linked from Business → Payment Gateways → Currencies).

Your default currency

Exactly one currency is always marked Default. This is the currency your own prices are actually stored in — every other active currency is just a display conversion of that number, computed at read time.

Set this before you price anything
Switching your default currency later does not convert prices you've already entered. A price you set as "10" keeps meaning "10" in whichever currency is now default — so changing the default after you've started pricing content silently re-prices your whole catalogue. Pick it once, at the start.

Adding a currency

Each currency record needs a name, an ISO code (USD, EUR, BTC...), a symbol, a type (Traditional money or Crypto currency), and a display format (there's a long dropdown of symbol position / spacing / decimal-place combinations — pick whatever matches local convention).

Exchange rate is optional: leave it at 0 and RamTV fetches the rate automatically — from the free fawazahmed0 currency API for traditional money (refreshed about every 4 hours) and from Coingate when crypto is involved (refreshed about every hour). Enter a fixed number instead if you'd rather control the rate yourself — the admin list clearly labels each currency as "Manually entered" or "From (source)" so you always know which one you're looking at.

Letting visitors choose

Activate more than one currency and visitors can select their preferred display currency — everything they see converts automatically from your default via the exchange rate, without changing what you're actually charging or settling in. The default currency can't be deactivated or deleted (there always has to be one).
