Audiobook automation
Automation as it applies to books and chapters
Audiobook automation works exactly like Radio automation — same idea, same screen shape, same catalogue-import mechanics — just for audiobooks instead of stations.
Setting it up
Go to Content → Audiobook → Automation (also linked from Setting → Cronjob → Audiobook - Automation). One switch, two filters:
- Sync Audiobooks — turns it on
- Filter: Language and Filter: Category — both default to All
No credentials needed, same as Radio — this goes through our shared connection, not a third-party account you have to set up.
What happens after you turn it on
A recurring job pulls a batch of audiobooks matching your filters into your own database as real, fully-editable records, deduplicated automatically, and switches itself off once your filtered catalogue is exhausted. The same screen shows queue status and links to the run logs.
Worth knowing: the audiobooks in this catalogue are LibriVox recordings, which are in the public domain in the USA. If you operate outside the USA, check that the books you import are also in the public domain in your country — LibriVox gives the same advice.
