P0dCr8 - Installation

Introducing P0dCr8, an innovative RKHM plugin that facilitates the creation of AI-generated podcasts and enables users to subscribe for enhanced access to functions!

Requirements

1. Active RKHM script installation
2. Installation of FFmpeg on your server
   
3. Ability to execute Cronjobs every minute on your server
   
4. An API account with a text AI provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter) and an ElevenLabs API plan
   

Fees

Please note that P0dCr8 is not a standalone script, but an additional plugin for RKHM, requiring existing RKHM installation. For a one-time fee, you receive the app, ongoing support and perpetual updates

One-time fees:

Here is the breakdown of one-time fees:

1. RKHM platform: $59 on CodeCanyon or $49 in our store
2. Podcast plugin: $25
3. P0dCr8 plugin: $40

Prices change from time to time; our store always shows the current ones, including bundles.

The podcast plugin is optional for P0dCr8. P0dCr8 functions seamlessly even without the podcast plugin; however, with the podcast plugin, you gain the capability to import the podcasts created with P0dCr8 into your RKHM and effortlessly showcase them to the world with just one click.

Recurring fees:

the following charges are recurring and billed monthly or on an as-you-go basis:

1. Server: For serving users and compiling audio fragments, utilizing your server resources
2. Text-generation API: OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter writes the script
   
3. Text-To-Speech API: ElevenLabs is employed to transform generated text into speeches
   

The most substantial expense comes from the Text-To-Speech component. A podcast show with four episodes, each of 15 minutes duration (60 minutes in total), costs are as follows:

1. Very loosely $0.01 for server resources
2. Close to $0.028 for OpenAI to generate 9k English words ( Please note, non-English, or GPT-4 generation would incur higher charges)( 0.56$ for GPT 4 turbo )
   
3. The text-to-speech cost depends on your ElevenLabs plan. Content → P0dCr8 → Pricing Setting shows what one hour of speech costs on each ElevenLabs plan. (PlayHT, which earlier versions of this page used as the example, shut down in 2025.)

Installation Steps for P0dCr8:

1. Install RKHM. For guidance, see this documentation
2. Update RKHM to latest version with few clicks, see this link
3. Install P0dCr8 via your RKHM's admin dashboard - consult our documentation for details
   
4. Set up FFmpeg. Click here for documentation
   
5. Create an OpenAI account and note your API key, then paste it to `your RKHM -> Admin -> Content -> P0dCr8 -> AI APIs setting`
   
6. Create an ElevenLabs account and note your API key, then paste it to `your RKHM -> Admin -> Content -> P0dCr8 -> AI APIs setting` (Note: API-based plans, must be purchased)
   
7. In the `AI APIs setting` you should also configure your image generation service, if you wish to create cover for show/podcasters. You can use OpenAI for both text and image generation, or Prodia for images
8. Configure your RKHM. customize UI elements with PageBuilder, integrate P0dCr8 into your user dropdown, footer, or sidebar with MenuBuilder. Choose your preferred language, payment gateway, and other preferences. Uninstall the `music` plugin or also offer music to your users. Cronjobs

You've already set up a cronjob to handle all tasks during installation. If you have a limited client base, app efficiency isn't a top priority, or you're currently testing the app, you can skip this section. Alternatively, for those seeking optimal performance, you have the choice to exclude P0dCr8 from the main cronjob. Instead, you can establish four additional cronjobs specifically for text-generation and TTS-generation, separating automation and manual requests. This enhances the overall process speed.

To implement this, navigate to the location where you initially defined your first cronjob during installation. Locate the command and modify it from:

to:

php -f ~rkhm_path/api/admin.php bof_cronjobs=yes ignore=p0dcr8

This modification instructs the main cronjob to ignore the P0dCr8 job. Next, add these four additional cronjobs:

php -f ~rkhm_path/api/admin.php bof_cronjobs=yes job=p0dcr8 aijob=txt_auto force=yes

These additional cronjobs optimize the process by separately handling text-generation and TTS-generation for both automated and manual requests within P0dCr8. Please note that you should replace ~rkhm_path with the real absolute path on your server
