Radio automation
Automation as it applies to live stations
Radio automation fills your station list from our curated catalogue — no scraping, no third-party API keys, nothing to sign up for. You pick a couple of filters, RKHM does the rest.
Setting it up
Go to Content → Radio → Automation (also linked from Setting → Cronjob → Radio - Automation). There's one switch and two filters:
- Sync Stations — turns the whole thing on
- Filter: Language and Filter: Category — both default to All. Their option lists are pulled live from our servers, not hardcoded, so what you see reflects what's actually available right now
No credentials to enter anywhere — this runs through the same shared connection RKHM already uses for licensing and plugin downloads.
What happens after you turn it on
A recurring job (every 5 minutes) pulls a batch of stations matching your filters and creates them as real station records in your own database — fully editable afterward, exactly like anything you added by hand. Re-running never creates duplicates. It turns itself back off automatically once it's imported everything matching your current filters, so there's nothing left quietly running in the background once the job is done.
The same settings screen shows a live queue status (total / waiting / done) with a direct link to the run logs for that job, so you can watch it work or confirm it finished.
