Conversation text is generated by an AI text service (OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter) from the show's and podcasters' prompts, then turned into realistic speech with ElevenLabs. (PlayHT, which earlier versions also supported, shut down its service in 2025.) You can check some already prepared demos here
You can also test the studio and entire process here. There is also a public "demo" project available in the 08cast's studio. You just need an email to sign up for a free account. Just please note that for demo we are using GPT 3.5 + a non-realistic TTS service rather than ElevenLabs. You could however pay to test GPT4 + ElevenLabs fully before purchasing the script
